After a lapse of nearly 30 years, GEORGE is now very much alive with the copy of his 52 Letters for everyone to enjoy. GEORGE is Private George Tatler No. 3256, 65th Regiment, who served in New Zealand from April 1855 - 7 November 1868. This later date saw the demise of George Tatler, Constable Armed Constabulary.
When we visited Congleton in England where he was born, and Moturoa where he died, it was as though we had lost a member of our own family, especially after over ten years of research.
It is my hope that "GEORGE" will be the inspiration for all collectors to pursue POSTAL HISTORY, as I am sure they will get as much pleasure as I have enjoyed over the last 50 years.
